St. Bernards Sports Medicine

Clinic Mission Statement

Our goal is to be the premier provider of comprehensive sports medicine and orthopedic services to Northeast Arkansas. We strive for excellence throughout the continuum of care – from acute management of injuries to sport-specific rehabilitation and post-operative orthopedic care to injury prevention consultation. Our motto is for you to “play hard” and we will be there whenever you need us!

Services Offered

Comprehensive Rehabilitative Services
St. Bernards Sports Medicine employs an outstanding team of clinicians skilled in treating all orthopaedic and sports-related injuries. Our therapists have extensive backgrounds in sports and routinely see injured athletes from every sport. We take pride in providing preventative, post-operative, and rehabilitative care to Northeast Arkansas. SBSM also provides an extended rehabilitation to patients that require lengthy rehabilitation programs. SBSM is also the proud provider of rehabilitative services to all ASU athletic teams and Williams Baptist College athletics.

Clinic Facilities
St. Bernards Sports Medicine Clinic is an 8,000 square foot state-of-the-art outpatient rehabilitation facility located within the St. Bernards Health & Wellness Institute that features a fully-equipped , spacious therapeutic gym with 50” LCD TV, indoor aquatic therapy pool, a Biodex System3 isokinetic unit for sports-specific testing, and a dedicated Sports Performance laboratory for Return-To-Play activities and testing.

On-field Athletic Training Coverage
We provide an exclusive certified athletic trainer at Jonesboro, Nettleton, Valley View, Brookland and Westside to ensure that a qualified healthcare professional is available at all times to the athletes. These trainers are on the sidelines at the games, oversee practices, travel to tournaments, and provide many other services throughout the athletic season.

Our certified athletic trainers perform on-the-field evaluations and arrange for the appropriate medical attention. They also follow the athlete during their injury episode until the athlete is cleared for return to sports, ensuring a seamless transition from injured to healthy.

Yearly Sports Physicals
We organize an all-inclusive evening of school sports physicals in the Spring of every year to ensure that all of our athletes receive comprehensive screenings and assessments by the best doctors in Northeast Arkansas. Each athlete is evaluated by specialist at NO COST to the athletes’ parents.

Coaches Clinics/Running Clinics
Throughout the year we offer educational sports-related clinics to the public and to our area coaches. We feel an obligation to bring current knowledge to Northeast Arkansas about injury prevention and management.
